How did May fly by so fast!? Like seriously, ever since I became a mom of school-age kids, the days just fly by in a blink of an eye. Summer is here FINALLY in Colorado, I am so excited! Anywho today’s post will be about my favorite beauty products from the month of May!
Also, for my beauty-on-a-budget babes out there, I’m happy to share that these are some awesome drugstore products!
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
Elf – 16 Hr Camo Concealer $5
I have been an ELF Cosmetics fan for many years, the prices alone are amazing but when you combine great quality with affordable prices😍😍😍. BEST THING EVER! Okay so let’s talk about this concealer, I am totally late to the review game when it comes to this concealer but better late than never. This concealer for what $5 gives you the same quality of a luxury brand. I looove my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind but ever since I started using this concealer my Maybelline has taken a back seat. No, I haven’t tested this out for 16 hrs but a normal 8 hr day sure and even sweat proof so I say this is a win.
Wet n Wild Photofocus Stick Foundation $5
I heard so many good things about this foundation but the idea of a stick foundation truly just didn’t make me want to rush to the store and get it. I finally got some CVS bucks and well, bought one to test out. Okay, the first impression was this is going to be drying on my face. I felt like it was soaking into my pores making them visible. But hey it was free so no big disappointment, but Y’All as I started to blend this foundation in. WHat! seriously not drying nor did my pores stand out extra, it literally is like a second skin for my face. That’s how awesome is foundation is, it is so lightweight, buildable to medium coverage that I am dubbing this my go-to summer foundation.
La Roche – Posay Anthelios 50 SPF Daily Anti – Aging Primer With Sunscreen $40
I have had sensitive skin lately, I seem to be breaking out easily, and when it comes to my skin I can be a tad bit picky. Especially when it comes to sun protection and my face. I have tried different face sunscreen’s which yes that is a thing… But only to be disappointed with the overpowering smell of sunscreen or the greasy face aftermath which then…. causes me to break out. I picked this product out a while ago and haven’t put it down ever since. Favorite things about this product are not only is it an SPF 50 BUT it also helps minimize my pores, its got anti-aging properties, not to mention a little goes a long way. Although it feels silky which usually means pore clogging I have been able to wear this on the daily without a breakout. The price is pretty high! But totally worth it, I am picky and budget-friendly but sometimes you have to splurge and skincare products are worth the splurge
Neutrogena Cheeky Wink Flushed Blush $7
This blush is part of Walmart’s new Neutrogena Collection and yes… so many yes’s for this blush. Summer and this blush go hand to hand, you get this natural flushed summer kiss glow that isn’t overpowering and perfect for someone who likes their makeup more on the natural side. It’s got this creamy yet powder like consistency blends greatly with a brush or hey even your fingertip will work.
ELF Intense Ink Eyeliner Pen $5
The best beginner liquid eyeliner, perfect for that winged eye look but also just great for those new to eyeliner. The color is intense but don’t let that scare you, from trying it.
Honest Beauty Mascara/Primer $15
Cleaner beauty brand but…. Do your research about the ingredients you are more okay with vs the ones you want to stay away from. As for this mascara, I truly think it is one of the best cleaner beauty mascara’s. Not to mention it’s double sided with a primer to help make the mascara last longer but not clumpy. I love this mascara for just that every day wants to give my lashes a more natural looking volume and thickness.
Eco Tools Defined Crease Brush $8 (set)
Hand’s down, PERFECT BLENDING BRUSH…. I love to create a more natural smoky eye and this brush helps me to do that. Feels like a bunch of feathers and not densely packed to give you that more buildable smoky eye.
Sonia Kashuk Large Buffing Brush $16
When you use a brush vs beauty sponge you tend to get a more fuller coverage application. Yet I just love this brush and how it does exactly what it says, buff’s the foundation into your skin without leaving strikes or blotchiness. I love how it comes with the container to protect the bristles, how soft the brush is and lightweight the handle not to mention stylish. This is just a good quality brush to have on hand.
